QA Automation Engineer
Responsibilities:
• Developing automated testing systems using commercial tools, scripts and data set
• Detecting and reporting on bugs found during QA testing using Ticket Track System
• Working with Business, Development and QA Lead to understand project concept, objectives and approach of software development projects
• Defining scope and objectives of all levels of QA testing
• Participating in all aspects of testing, including integration, functional, regression, load, performance testing
• Completing assigned projects from IT Quality Testing through final User Acceptance Testing
• Identifying the purpose of the test effort and providing test deliverables
• Creating effective manual and automated test plans
• Providing support for your position in written communication
• Preparing report documentation and other written information thoroughly and completely
• Working collaboratively with development during all stages of projects to provide in process testing results
• Maintaining records and reports on bugs and other testing metrics
• Configuring and maintaining QA machines (install, add and remove software as necessary; install software updates, install memory and perform drive configurations)
• Ensuring network is up, running and performing according to network performance criteria
• Creating configuration backups (database backups, backups for hardware and VM machines)
• Documenting and maintaining up-to-date documentation for all processes and duties mentioned above
Requirements:
• Demonstrated ability to work well independently as team member and with cross functional teams
• Experience working with a structured software methodology and software test experience
• Experience using SQL to create data sets
• Experience creating scripts for automating processes
• Understanding the software development life cycle including requirements definition, initial application design, testing, final implementation and operations

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience
