FX eCommerce - Core Java Developer

We are seeking a software developer to join the FX e-Commerce team; responsible for designing, developing and maintaining the firms highly distributed high performance FX engine. The e-Commerce pricing engine creates foreign exchange markets by analyzing market data from banks, hedge funds and ECN’s. The engine applies different pricing/hedging strategies to create markets 24/6.

The ideal candidate will come from a background in extensive Core Java, low latency performance development on high availability, real time systems with exposure to Electronic Trading systems. You will be able to draw on your programming ability in creating real-time multithreaded applications to provide new solutions in evolving market conditions. The position requires the individual to have a broad range of IT skills and be capable of working in an environment that requires flexibility, problem solving, delegation and strong interpersonal skills.

Position Responsibilities:

• Understand business requirements by working with clients, traders, business analysts and personnel from compliance and clearing

• Work with other IT groups to develop appropriate data interfaces and data transfer mechanisms

• Participate in the technical production support rotation

• Communicate progress and risks to management, estimate work schedules, anticipate and avoid problems

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years software development experience preferably with experience in developing trading systems / analysis tools

• Core Java OO programming with Multithreading and low latency tuning

• Experience working on high availability, real time systems

• Strong communication skills

• FIX protocol knowledge desirable
